Hello again
Just an update for
the
Holiday
season to
let everyone know what is going on over our break. There will be no
practices for Red or White Dec 24-26. Practices will resume on the
27th. There also will be
no practice on New Years Day.
Just a Reminder that
our
Holiday
gift
exchange/party is this Friday the 18th from 7:00 to 8:30. We will be in the child care room. A sign up
sheet will be posted this week on the bulletin board this week for
people that would like to help with snacks and food for this party.
Items needed include, plates, cups, home baked goodies, cheese,
crackers, fruit, veggies, juice boxes or soda etc. I am very much looking forward to
the items that each swimmer will be giving to their selected team
mate. Remember that we hope all of these are home made
items.
The PCY
deadline is quickly approaching. This meet is held down
at
Oxford
and is a wonderful
opportunity for your swimmer to compete in a great facility. Please
plan on attending if you can.
I am so pleased overall with how all of our swimmers are
training and competing. We had some great swims both at Fishers and
at SPY. Keep encouraging your swimmers. Remind them that coming to
each practice ready to work and stay focused will really pay off
for them.
We have two swimmers of the week to acknowledge for each
group. The red group swimmer for last week was Chris Warner. Chris
is my first 12 yr old to swim the mile since I started coaching,
and he did a super job. Red group swimmer for this week is Megan
Rupper. Megan has really had a great two weeks of practice. We have
noticed her effort and applaud her for the hard work. White group swimmer for last week
was Connar Sweeten. Connar competed in the backstroke event at SPY
and finally completed a back event without looking once for the
wall which resulted in a great turn. White group swimmer for this
week is Anna McCarty. Anna has a super hard work ethic, and brings
that to each and every practice! Congratulations
Anna.
I would like to take a group
picture of both White and Red on Wednesday at practice.
Please try to be there
for this photo!
