2009 Swim Camp Day 2

Today we had our first double and I was amazed that nobody told me that they hated me. The morning practice was a long freestyle set with the afternoon practice being a stroke set. The chaperones while cooking dinner received the following text from the Head Coach.  “I win, they are all DEAD!” After an average of 8500 yards in practice this morning, the swimmers drug themselves out of the pool to run stairs passed the smiling coaches to run 6 sets.  Here are some swimmers quotes of the day.

“I hate doing anything out of the water.” Another swimmer said, “I hate doing anything in the water.”

“My paddles saved my life.”

“I don’t think I can walk back to the hotel.”

After climbing out of the pool a swimmer said, “I am too tired to warm down.”

“All of a sudden everybody has back problems.”

The day ended with a swimmer dumping their entire plate of chicken, rice, corn and sauce on the floor right in front of the cookie table, all of the rest of her teammates were so hungry no one helped clean it up, they just stepped in it to get to the desserts.  (Yes Mrs. Myszka it was one of your daughters.
